Special Education
The McLean County Public Schools (MCPS) Department of Special Education is dedicated to serving the needs of students with disabilities. A wide range of special education programs and services are offered for students with disabilities, ages three to twenty-one. Our department is comprised of a team of professionals who are trained to address a variety of issues and needs.
Appropriate educational and evaluation services are provided for students at no cost to parents. Students may be referred for evaluation by parents/guardians, agency personnel, or school staff. Parents are involved in every stage of the evaluation and placement process. They are encouraged to contribute helpful information about their child.
