McLean County Public Schools Kindergarten Pre-registration is February 2 - 6, 2026. Please register your child at the school they will attend between 8:30 am - 2:30 pm. Per KRS 158.030, children entering kindergarten must be five years old on or before August 1.
Parents are asked to bring their child’s birth certificate and social security card, if possible. Before a child can enter school in the fall, parents are required to show the child’s social security card, birth certificate, up-to-date Kentucky immunization certificate and records of physical exam within six months prior to the beginning of school. An eye examination by an optometrist or ophthalmologist and a dental examination by a dentist is required no later than January 1 of the school year.
